Few people know what the future holds unless they bring it about. While font trends will always be in transition, even now we can glimpse what the future may bring. The 9 Encontro de Tipografia conference in Portugal is themed around “thinking about tomorrow” and how typography plays into it: for our analogue and digital lives, for communication, journalistic integrity, and even mindless entertainment. How does one interested in typography plan for the road ahead?
