Ploquine sneak peek

Emma Marichal won the 2022 Gerard Unger Scholarship for her Ploquine font family. Since then she has been diligently working to define its styles, features, and expanding the character set based on its intended tone. What is that tone? It can be delicate or aggressive, masterfully captivating or merely context.

This slab serif is based on early wood types and will have 14 total styles suitable for magazine paragraphs, headlines, logotypes with a refined presence, and poster-sized text intending to show off its hidden details. While we wait for Ploquine’s release in early 2024, we are happy to bring you a look at its development.
