The release of Anya Danilova’s Rezak Armenian and Rezak Georgian is a few days away, and TypeTogether is happy to provide a preview of what we can look forward to. The beauty of Anya Danilova’s design for Rezak is in its seeming simplicity; on closer look its rough-hewn look shows a remarkably wide range of expression. This careful logic is now extended to the Armenian and Georgian writing systems, making for a highly versatile multiscript family.
The Armenian and Georgian writing systems developed independently to suit the very different phonetic needs of two completely unrelated language families. In creating these two script variations of Rezak, Danilova pays great respect to the two scripts’ letterform logic, while also managing to provide consistency with the Latin and Cyrillic versions of her type family.
With the release of Rezak Armenian and Rezak Georgian, TypeTogether once again confirms its commitment to providing some of the world’s best multiscript typefaces. Stay tuned for the official release.
