Sneak Peek: Arlette

March 2018

Next time you hear from us, you’ll also be seeing progress in the form of the new Arlette family. The Barcelona-based type design studio Letterjuice, run by Pilar Cano and Ferran Milan, partnered with TypeTogether to publish Arlette, a typeface that challenges what it means to be a sans.

Sneak Peek: Arlette, a Latin and Thai Typeface

Pilar Cano (creator of the Edita family) and Ferran Milan have created a sans serif with an experimental, organic nature that has the ability to stretch the parameters of what a sans can be. Arlette will come in Latin and Thai and is perfect for editorial design, branding, teen and young adult magazines, book covers, and a lot more.

Arlette will include eight weights in Latin and six in Thai, covering an extensive range of  use, both in text and display. In both writing systems, Arlette is surprisingly legible in small sizes and still beautiful and full of engaging details in large sizes. It’s almost time for this bold, new addition.
