Two of our type families, Futura®100 and Abril, are the only typefaces used in the new issue of Eye Magazine.

As a type foundry, we’re always delighted to see how our typefaces are being used. This joy was compounded when one of the world’s leading design journals, Eye Magazine, decided to use two of our type families exclusively in their newest issue.
The typefaces in question are our new Futura®100 multiscript type family, and the classic editorial newsface Abril, and we think their font pairing in Eye 109 is impeccable. Released in concert with Bauer Types, Futura®100 brings Paul Renner’s geometric sans serif to the world; its first 12 scripts include Armenian, Cyrillic, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, Khmer, Lao, Latin, PanAfrican Latin, Thai (these ten with obliques), Arabic, and Myanmar.
Eye 109 pairs Futura®100 with Abril, a type family created by Veronika Burian and José Scaglione specifically for intensive editorial use in newspapers, magazines, and digital media. With 10 text styles and 12 display styles, Abril provides a strong and flexible text basis to work with in print and digital.
Eye can be found at better stockists and design bookstores. Their website is at https://eyemagazine.com.
