“Building ligatures” book launch dates

May 2022

Relationships mean the world to us, which is why we named our font foundry TypeTogether. What better way to celebrate our collaborators than to host a book launch on their home turf.

The writing is done. The design is completed. The printing is wrapped. And the time for celebration is here! If you happen to be in Dublin, Munich, or Prague in the last half of May, some of the core TypeTogether team and contributors would love to meet you at one of three regional book launches. That’s right, we’re bringing the party to you. You can order the books here or pick one up at the event. Details below.

Dublin, 17 May 2022
A series of lectures open to all at the Dublin School of Creative Arts (Technological University Dublin) organised by Typography Ireland. Starting at 14h, the programme includes lectures by Azza Alameddine, José Scaglione, and Dublin based designers Emma Conway, Archie Heaslip, and Dee Maher Ring, chaired by Max Phillips (of Signal Type Foundry). The seminar will be followed by Type Club in the Belfry pub (at 37 Stoneybatter, Dublin) from 17.30, where the book launch will take place.  Tickets for the lectures are free, but registration is required.

Munich, 21 May 2022

José Scaglione’s talk  ‘Global Type. Global Challenges.’ will be part of the Granshan “Signs of the times” conference (around 15.30, at Literaturhaus and online), and both Veronika and José will be signing books during the break after the lecture.

Prague, 25 May 2022
