Imagine Dragons. Now imagine Dargon.

February 2026

Borne in the caves of the TypeMedia programme and forged in the flames of the Gerard Unger Scholarship, Anne-Dauphine Borione’s Dargon is created specifically for gaming and fantasy. Here’s a sneak peek.

Anne-Dauphine ‘Ando’ Borione’s eagerly-awaited Dargon type family is still a few weeks away, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek at one of the year’s most-eagerly awaited typefaces.
Dargon is a type family with a text, italic, and six uncials, named Ignis, Limen, Mutatio, Oculus, Aegis, and Umbra. While Dargon is inspired by gaming and fantasy, Ando has done the hard work, researching uncial and stone-carved letterforms, and it shows.

“I believe typography is a fantasy, an artistic endeavour, a universe in itself,” Ando says. “Type enhances my reality, it is a conduit for enchanting myself, a portal to realms yet unseen. One might see type as purely utilitarian; I see it as a powerful source of magic.”

We can’t wait to see Dargon in the wild, and you can be one of the first to try it as a member of TypeTogether Premier, our programme for graphic design professionals that includes beta font access as well valuable typographic advice. Sign up for Premier today, lest ye be smote.
