Dargon is coming. Are you ready?
Anne-Dauphine ‘Ando’ Borione’s eagerly-awaited Dargon type family is still a few weeks away, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek at one of the year’s most-eagerly awaited typefaces. Borne in the caves of the TypeMedia programme and forged in the flames of the Gerard Unger Scholarship, Ando created Dargon specifically for gaming and fantasy. And in the D&D alignment, she says Dargon is neutral good..
“I believe typography is a fantasy, an artistic endeavour, a universe in itself,” Ando says. “Type enhances my reality, it is a conduit for enchanting myself, a portal to realms yet unseen. One might see type as purely utilitarian; I see it as a powerful source of magic.”
You won’t have to camp out on a sidewalk to be the first to get Dargon’s betas; members of TypeTogether’s Premier programme will have early access, so be sure to sign up now.
