Total War: Three Kingdoms game

Iskra in use in the strategy game Total War: Three Kingdoms.

Iskra, Tom Grace’s  low contrast sans with a distinctive flare, is used in the strategy game Total War: Three Kingdoms. Developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega, the involved game received multiple awards and was acclaimed by the public and gaming critics.

Iskra was chosen to set the tone throughtout all game play — from marketing campaigns to the game interface: roles, players, battles, even the advisory screens. Iskra’s brush-like characters give a nod to traditional Asian calligraphy, and its voice has the ability to carry the weight of any text in gameplay.
