How to create typefaces: Book launch

May 2017

The book 'How to create typefaces', co-authored by Cristóbal Henestrosa, Laura Meseguer, and José Scaglione, has finally been translated to English. The book launches planned for St Bride Library.

Join José Scaglione, Laura Meseguer, and Cristóbal Henestrosa at the launch of the book How to create typefaces. To celebrate the publication of the English translation of the book, José, Laura, and Cristóbal (via video) will discuss how their own processes informed the writing of the book — unravelling the fascinating task of creating a font, from sketch to screen. Edited by the Spanish imprint Tipo e, this succesful book has been translated to English by Christopher Burke and Patricia Córdoba. The event will additionally feature Gerry Leonidas, who contributed the foreword, and one of the editors, Elena Veguillas.

The book launch will take place on June 1, in the hall of St Bride Library (follow this link for ordering tickets). Copies of the book will be available during the event, and the publication, How to create typefaces, will be available for purchase from various digital platforms in the next weeks.
