Identifont 2016

February 2017

Garalda, Bely and Marco reviewed in Identifont by Stephen Coles.

Identifont was launched in 2000 and since then it has become one of the largest independent directories of digital fonts on the Internet. It provides a useful and easy to use tool to identify fonts based on particular features. Every month the team adds hundred of fonts to the database and in the blog Stephen Coles selects the most interesting ones.

We are delighted to see Toshi Omagari’s Marco and Roxane Gataud’s Bely in September 2016s round up and Xavier Dupré’s Garalda in November’s post. in very good company. According to Coles, Marco  ‘is a virtually effortless translation of calligraphy into a contemporary serif. It’s one of the fresher designs to be inspired by the well-trod 15th-century Venetian models.’ and Bely, ‘it’s the debut of a designer who seems unbound by the standard type design conventions. Bely is a truly modern take on the oldstyle serif.’
