Typography in the news

September 2014

The École de communication Visuelle in Bordeaux, France, invited Veronika Burian and José Scaglione to hold a two-day type seminar, ‘Typography in the news’. This short course focused on typography for newspapers,, probably one of the most complex editorial piece a designer can face. Students of fourth and fifth years produced a complete typographic solution for daily newspaper covers which included lettering, lettershape digitization, font selection, typographic matching and layouting.
